The Coffee Table Pesciolini is a playful yet refined masterpiece, where Italian artistry meets timeless design. Handmade by Stefano Coccioli, it belongs to the rare category of scagliola coffee tables, creations that revive a Renaissance technique with a modern, poetic touch. Its name, Pesciolini—Italian for “little fishes”—captures the essence of its surface: a fluid pattern inspired by the movement of fish in water, reimagined into geometry and light.
The Pesciolini composition is defined by flowing motifs that ripple across the scagliola surface, creating rhythm and continuity. Much like a school of fish gliding in harmony, the design conveys motion, fluidity, and life. The pigments—earth tones, greys, ivory highlights, and occasional bluish reflections—blend into a balanced yet dynamic palette. Depending on perspective and illumination, the surface shifts between calm stillness and vibrant movement.
At its core, the table embodies the ancient art of scagliola. Born in Renaissance Italy, this demanding craft combines marble powders, gypsum, and natural pigments to produce surfaces of extraordinary beauty. Once reserved for noble palaces and sacred spaces, Coccioli now reinterprets it for today’s interiors, creating luxury handcrafted furniture that bridges history with contemporary living.
Each Coffee Table Pesciolini is unique. Because the scagliola process is entirely handmade, subtle variations ensure that no two tables are identical. This individuality transforms every piece into a one-of-a-kind collector’s object, a living testimony to artistry and authenticity.
Balancing beauty with versatility, the Pesciolini table is available in 45 cm and 75 cm diameters, adaptable to compact or generous interiors. The pedestal offers flexibility with three options: 30 cm, 40 cm, or no legs. To further personalize the piece, the metal base is offered in Black, Brass, Iron, or White, allowing contrast or harmony with the scagliola surface.
Placed in a refined living room, a boutique hotel lounge, or a contemporary loft, the Coffee Table Pesciolini becomes a sculptural centerpiece. Its aquatic-inspired surface brings freshness and dynamism, enriching interiors with both elegance and character.
Beyond design, the Pesciolini table embodies Coccioli’s philosophy: patience in process, respect for materials, and the ambition to create objects that endure. Unlike mass-produced furniture, this table carries cultural meaning and individuality, destined to become a timeless heirloom.
The Coffee Table Pesciolini is more than furniture—it is an artistic statement, a dialogue between tradition and innovation, nature and geometry, motion and stillness. With its fluid patterns and handcrafted essence, it transforms interiors into curated spaces of beauty and meaning.
